It focuses on highlighting core messages and common areas of work and setting these within the context of national policy. Protecting People Through Partnerships’ is being held at Stirling Management Centre on October 25th and will focus on topics such as ‘Partnerships Across Scotland – What Is Community Planning’, ‘Partnerships In Practice – What Works’? and ‘Protection Across The Lifespan’.

WithScotland has produced a range of education resources to support the implementation of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) and Curriculum for Excellence. The materials are focussed on Neglect and are intended for use during Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Collegiate Activity Time (CAT) sessions in schools. The resources include the main messages from current research, a list of on-line and print resources which support discussions about neglect and abuse of children and young people, staff development activities and relevant health and well-being experiences and outcomes.

The report provides a summary of known evidence about the scale and nature of child sexual exploitation in Scotland, based on existing statistics and research and workshops with practitioner experts.
The study had three aims: to review existing research, policy and practice literature from the UK regarding the scale and nature of child sexual exploitation, and trafficking for sexual exploitation, focusing on Scotland; to review key Scottish statistics regarding the scale and nature of child sexual exploitation in Scotland; and to gather preliminary and exploratory information from key professionals regarding their perceptions of the scale and nature of child sexual exploitation in Scotland.
