    Inverclyde CPC is the primary strategic planning mechanism for interagency child protection work in the Inverclyde local authority area. The CPC believes that:

    • The child or young person’s protection and welfare comes first
    • Children and young people have a right to be heard, listened to and taken seriously
    • Consideration must be given to a child or young person’s gender, ethnicity, culture and religious persuasion in all matters and decisions affecting them

    Midlothian Child Protection Committee

    Midlothian CPC is the principle strategic planning mechanism for inter-agency child protection services in Midlothian and is based at Fairfield House in Dalkeith. Membership includes senior managers from Midlothian Council, NHS Lothian, Midlothian CHP, Lothian and Borders Police, the Children’s Reporter, the voluntary sector, Army Welfare, and Mid and East Lothian Drug and Alcohol Partnership. The Committee is supported in its work by the Child Protection Team, which is made up of the Lead Officer, the Training and Development Officer, and CPC Reviewing Officer.

    Perth and Kinross CPC is the locally based inter-agency partnership which overseas the design, development, publication, distribution, dissemination, implementation and evaluation of child protection policy and practice across the public, private and wider voluntary sectors in Perth and Kinross.
