Online and mobile phone child safety

New technologies, digital media and the internet are an integral part of children’s lives. Whether or not on a computer at school or at home, a table, a games consol of mobile / smart phone, children and young people are increasingly accessing the internet. This has enabled new forms of social interaction to emerge via social networking sites and on-line gaming. These technologies also bring a variety of risks from adults and peers, including sexual exploitation from online predators, for example, grooming, often via social networking sites.
